Purpose of certification, evidential use only: I am being taken for everything I have by a man who has never Boundary dispute, Halloway Reach, Cause 4/118.
Describe the item required. Match is by description. This office cannot retrieve an item that has not been described.
I want a certified copy of one line off the standing table. The Standard Bond Radius, the default one, the figure that is on the sheet at your counter today, which I read an hour ago while I was waiting for the counter to open. It says 900.034200 Spans. That is the figure. That one, in those words, with the date on it.
My workshop sits at 900.054200 Spans from the centre mark of the Ferris holding. That is off the survey of galaxal 871 and it has not moved and nobody has ever said it moved. Twenty thousandths of a Span outside a nine hundred Span radius is not much of a margin. It is the whole of what I have. The other side has a man who says the radius is bigger than the table says it is, and I am not going to stand in a room and argue with him about it out of my own mouth. I need a piece of paper with a seal on it that says what the table says.
The counter tells me class IV is paid before you start. I have paid it. I have written the figure out twice on this form so there can be no mistake about which one I am asking for, because I cannot afford to come back and ask again, and I would like that noted.
I am asking for a copy of a number that is already printed and already public and is pinned up in your own front room. It should not cost what it costs.

Produced: two certificates, one sheet each, sealed at the foot in violet, and one enclosure of two sheets, unbound. Four sheets, all new. Retrieval was completed on click 22, galaxal 884, and certification on the same click. The service standard for class IV is one click plus certification. The return is inside the standard.
The item described is an entry on the Standing Table of Standard Values, held by this repository at fonds 4, series 2, item 19. The table is bound in nine volumes and is amended by revision. The entry described is Standard Bond Radius, default.
The request describes the figure current at the counter on the date of the request. That figure is certified at enclosure 1.
A certificate of this office states a figure as at the date of certification. That figure is certified at enclosure 2.
The two figures differ. Both are true as at the dates stated on them, both are certified, and neither certificate states anything about the other.
The republication addendum by which the second figure was posted is enclosed at enclosure 3, with the standing order it was made under reproduced beneath it, as it is reproduced on every addendum made under it.
Fees are assessed on the return produced. Two certificates and two enclosure sheets were produced. The advance covers one certificate and one sheet. A supplementary demand of 13.20 accompanies this response, being one certificate at 12.00 and three sheets at 0.40 the sheet. A return is produced complete. A part of a return is not separately releasable and no procedure exists that would make it so.

I have read both of them at your counter with the lamp on and I have read them twice.
On the first one I am twenty thousandths of a Span outside the line. On the second one I am fourteen thousandths inside it. Between the two of them nobody has come near my workshop. Nobody has walked the ground. Nobody has stood at the centre mark of the Ferris holding with an instrument in their hands. I filed on the twenty first and the twenty first is on your first certificate and the twenty second is on your second one, and on the twenty second I was in Halloway Reach moving stock out of the rain in a building that you have now told me twice is in two different places.
So I would like to ask two things and I am told they are both class I, which is free, which is the only free thing that has happened to me in this room.
Who decided. Not which office. Who.
And can the second one be withdrawn. I paid for one certificate and I have been handed the thing that is going to lose me the cause, and I paid thirteen and twenty for it on top, and I want to know what the procedure is for taking it back out of the world.
I am not saying anybody has done anything wrong. I am saying somebody has done something.

The enquiry asks two questions. Both are answerable from published schedules and both are answered below at no charge.
First. The rebasing was executed by Table Custodianship, Marn, under the standing order reproduced at enclosure 3, and is signed at the foot of the addendum with the post title of the officer of the day. The addendum records that no survey was conducted and no mark was moved. The restatement is arithmetic and takes effect on posting. The objection period against the addendum is one momenta from click 22, galaxal 884, and is open.
A measured value recorded at a survey is not a value derived from a Standard value. The standing order restates derived values. It does not restate observations. The recorded offset of the workshop is a measured value, taken at the survey of galaxal 871, and has not been restated at any revision of the standing table.
Second. The procedure for withdrawal of a certificate is published at Schedule 7, revision 8, and is produced here in full.
A certificate may be withdrawn on application by the person to whom it was issued, and by nobody else. Application is made on Form C4/W. The certificate and every copy of it issued to the applicant must be surrendered with the application. The fee is 4.00. On receipt the certificate is marked withdrawn and the withdrawal is entered against the certificate number.
A withdrawal withdraws the certificate. The entry certified stands on the standing table. The standing table is a published schedule, and a value from a published schedule is a class I retrieval, produced on the same tick, at no charge, to any person who describes the entry.
Certificate C4-2211 is not superseded by Certificate C4-2212. Neither certificate states that the other is incorrect. Both are current and both remain in force.
